Federal, State, and Community Aid Programs

NLC College Students enrolling in the degree program will be eligible to apply for federal, state, and community financial aid program. Below is a selected list of available programs. Please keep in mind:

  • Students applying for the FAFSA or any scholarships requiring a selection of college should choose “Southeastern University (001521)”

  • The private scholarships listed below are not awarded by NLC College. You must apply for these scholarships independently.

  • Remember, you should never have to pay to apply for a scholarship.


Federal Aid Programs

Pell Grants - $555-$5,730
Direct Student Loans - up to $6,500; up to $10,500 for Independent Students
Direct Parent Loan (PLUS) - up to full cost

How to Apply

Apply for federal aid listed above by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Applications for the coming school year become available after January 1 each year. You must reapply each year. Applications received prior to June 1 receive funding priority.  

The Higher Education Amendments require the university to define and enforce standards for satisfactory academic progress to encourage students to successfully complete degree requirements within 4 years (8 semesters).
